THE SCIENCE OF LAWS came about through the expansion of science to encompass laws of government and the lawmaking process.
INDEX LEX LEGIS
The Index Lex Legis contains references to the existing international scientific literature of the laws of government. It is a data base of reliable knowledge of the mechanics (cause and effects) of laws, and it marks the first step in the emergence of the Science of Laws.
The value of the science of laws is the same as every other science: it ends ignorance, satisfies curiosity, and enables the knowledge and methodologies of science to be applied to the creation of tools (laws) that improve the human condition.
The science of laws has two co-equal branches: the investigative science of laws and the creative science of laws (i.e., the science and engineering disciplines of laws).
The promise of the science of laws is that it will enable governments to end the present, unacceptable chaos of laws and ascend to the status of true democracy (see glossary for definition of terms).
