The Index Lex Legis data base is the repository of scientific knowledge of laws and lawmaking. As scientific knowledge of laws and lawmaking accumulates, it will become possible for lawmaking to become a knowledge industry and for the bodies of laws of government to become much more effective, cost-efficient, and just in the solution of societal problems.
Please submit references to your published peer-reviewed scientific articles regarding the following:
1) The mechanics (cause and effect relationships) of laws
2) Engineering design methodologies that are relevant to lawmaking
(e.g., software and systems engineering design processes)
3) Outcomes measurement methodologies that are relevant to the
accumulation of reliable knowledge of laws
4) Standards for the design, evaluation, and improvement of laws
